Our suggested dessert is a delicious chocolate mousse with extra virgin olive oil. It may seem strange, but the final product is incredibly creamy and smooth, and the flavor of the olive oil gives it a fresh, herbal touch that perfectly complements the intense flavor of the chocolate.

Ingredients

    • 200 grams of dark chocolate
    • 4 eggs (separating the whites from the yolks)
    • 100 grams of sugar
    • 200 ml of liquid cream
    • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    • Optional: cocoa powder, whipped cream, or grated dark chocolate

Preparation

Start by melting the dark chocolate in a bain-marie and set aside. Next, beat the egg whites until stiff and reserve.

Beat the sugar and egg yolks in another bowl until you get a foamy and homogeneous mixture. Add the liquid cream and the melted dark chocolate, and mix well. Gradually add the beaten egg whites until stiff, and mix with soft and enveloping movements so that the mousse is well aerated.
